Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

If you've ever wondered whether pelvic floor therapy is something you might need, you're not alone!

Pelvic floor dysfunction occurs when the muscles of the pelvic floor are too tight, too weak, or not coordinating properly. This can lead to issues such as urinary leakage, pelvic pain, pressure, constipation, or discomfort during exercise or daily activities. It affects both men and women and can result from pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, heavy lifting, or even chronic stress. These issues can show up during pregnancy, after childbirth, post-surgery, with heavy lifting, or even just from years of bad posture or stress.

Pelvic floor therapy is a targeted, evidence-based approach that helps restore strength, coordination, and function to these muscles. It’s a common misconception that it is only for new moms, when in reality it's for anyone who wants to feel stronger, move more freely, and regain confidence in their body. Whether you're dealing with discomfort, want to improve core function, or just have questions, pelvic floor therapy is a powerful and proactive step toward better health.
